Regular Maintenance Is A Key Factor For An Efficient Sprinkler System
Winter is gone and spring is on its way so, it is time to get your sprinkler system up and running for the year. There is more to getting your sprinkler ready for the coming season than just turning it on. DIY spring start-ups could result in burst fittings and broken sprinkler heads from the sudden surge of pressure when water begins to flow through your system. Allow a professional sprinkler installer like Chance's Sprinklers to fully inspect your system. We not only turn your system on, but we will also check for any leaks, broken heads, confirm each zone is receiving adequate coverage and adjust the timer as necessary. Spring Start-Ups are done between February - May.
By the time July comes around, temperatures have changed drastically in the South. Growing plants/shrubs and increased water evaporation may cause a change in your lawns coverage. With the Mid-Summer Check-Up we inspect for any leaks, raise/lower heads as necessary, replace broken/damaged heads, and adjust the timer to better suit your lawn for the hot summer temperatures. This may be the perfect time to also add drip irrigation to your garden or potted plants.
If your sprinkler system is not prepared for winter it is at risk for damage. Have Chance's Sprinklers winterize your automatic sprinkler system to ensure there is not any extra water in the irrigation lines, valves, or sprinkler heads that can freeze. When water freezes it expands and can seriously damage your system. Keep your system operating efficiently and protect your sprinkler investment by winterizing. Winterization is done between November - December.
